What Does The Word Say About Faith
"Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Mark 11:24
When you pray do you find yourself asking God to do something for you or are you already thanking him for doing what needs to be done? If we are told we just have to believe to receive it shouldn't we pray as if we already have received it? I try to always start my prayers with "I want to thank you in advance for".. I come letting God know that I do believe that he already knew my need before I ever knew I needed to pray for it myself, so I will assume he is already in the process of answering it.
" Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God". John 1:12
The World ( which we know is ruled by Satan) tries so hard to convince us that there is much more we MUST do to be adopted into the kingdom of heaven but that's just not true. If you believe that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God and that he came to this world and died on the cross for you and I then you are a Child of God. it's that simple to be "Saved"
" SO faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ." Romans !0: 17
I always just assumed this meant our faith grows stronger when we read the word regularly. Then one day I decided to listen to a audio book of the book of Ezekiel. The difference from what I heard as someone else was reading than what I heard when I was reading it myself was amazing. I realized there just might be a BIG difference in how we understand when we actually listen than when we just silently read to ourselves. Maybe that's why Pastor's always read the verses out loud in their church services. If you normally read I challenge you to go to your youtube app and search for the book you would like to hear and listen to it.
"Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, "move from here to there, and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20
Even if your doubts are huge and your faith is tiny, Jesus will always be there to answer your need and reward your faith. Just think if we grew our faith even stronger what could truly be accomplished.
